last night i went and saw

at

red rocks in morrison, co

it was so amazing!

and the best part

was how they played

their old album

& then 

all brand new songs!

bah!

they were just as good live

as their album

& 

so british

&

so folksy

yum.

birthday

this weekend was my hubby's birthday!

he's 24.... 

weird!

since we've moved to Denver

we decided instead of buying each other

"things" 

for special occasions

we need to start purchasing

"experiences".

so

i got us rock climbing lessons.

i would say that i was definitely 

nervous.

but after a few climbs

we really started to like it.

what an amazing way

to be active 

& 

experience the beautiful area we live in.

overall,

it was a blast. 

&

i'm just so thankful to have such an amazing man

to share adventures like this

for the rest of our life.

i got bored

cut my hairs

again.

beer

so,

our neighborhood is awesome.

like something to do every night awesome.

and in keeping with that awesome theme

we went to the Stapleton Beer Festival this weekend

$40 got us these cute tasting cups

$9 to the local food trucks

and unlimited brew.

yum.

i don't know if you've ever been

to a beer festival

but you really need to go to one.

there was live music playing

there were all sorts of breweries

local and more well known:

blue moon

oskar blues

odell's

breckinridge brewery

New Belgium (fat tire)

Sam Adam's

and so on.

Also,

there were food trucks.

so.

good.

I had green chile and cheese french fries

&

a giant slice of za.

Dan got a veggie burger with guac & siracha

perfect.

adventurers

last weekend we went on an adventure

we went to this amazing place

called garden of the gods

it's in colorado springs

&

there are these HUGE orange rocks

that you can climb

so we did

a girl could really get used to

living in a place like this

so far, colorado really suits us

so we've been in the big city now

for two solid weeks
